Ring Size Guide

Most Qilver rings are adjustable open bands that slide open to fit most fingers, so you need no size at all. Shop adjustable rings.

Our closed rings come in Indian sizes 6–14. Here are three easy ways to find yours at home, the same ways most jewellers use. No card, no app, no special tools.

How to find your ring size: 1, cut a thin strip of paper. 2, wrap it tight around your finger. 3, mark where the paper meets. 4, measure the distance with a ruler: that is your circumference. Find it in the size chart below.

1 · Measure a ring you already own

The most accurate way. Use a ring that fits the finger you're buying for.

  1. Lay the ring flat on a table.
  2. Place a ruler across the middle of the ring and measure from inside edge to inside edge, in millimetres. That's the inside diameter.
  3. Find the nearest inside diameter in the size chart below.

2 · Measure your finger with a strip of paper

  1. Cut a thin strip of paper, or use a piece of thread that doesn't stretch.
  2. Wrap it snugly around the base of your finger. It should still slide over the knuckle.
  3. Mark where the paper meets.
  4. Lay it flat on a ruler and measure up to the mark, in millimetres. That's your circumference: find it in the size chart below.

3 · Print our ring sizer

Download the Qilver ring sizer (PDF, A4). Print it on A4 paper at 100% (Actual size), with “Fit to page” switched off. Before you use it, check the print: the test line must measure exactly 50 mm on a ruler (or a bank card must cover the card box exactly). If it doesn't match, print again at 100%. Phones often shrink the page, so print from a computer if you can. Then lay a ring you own on the circles, or cut out the paper strip and wrap it around your finger.

Good to know

  • Measure at the end of the day, when your fingers are warm. Cold fingers can read up to half a size smaller.
  • If your knuckle is wider than the base of your finger, size for the knuckle so the ring slides on.
  • Between two sizes? Choose the larger, especially for wide bands.
  • Measure two or three times and go with the result you get most often.
